Web Tools Overview
LosaDev Tools is the browser version of the desktop LS Tools. It opens a Lost Saga client folder and lets you browse, preview and edit what is inside: packs, UI, models, maps, effects, items, quests and tables.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- Everything runs in your browser tab. There is no server behind the tools. Your client files are read on your PC and are never uploaded.
- Nothing is written into your game folder. When a tool saves, you get a download (one file, or a zip when a tool writes several). Put the file into your client or server yourself, with the game closed and a backup kept.
- Recommended browser: a recent Chrome, Edge or Opera on a PC. They can open a whole folder with a folder picker. Firefox and Safari can pick a folder too, but read-only and slower to reopen.
- Not for phones. Big clients need a lot of memory.
Open a game folder
Section titled “Open a game folder”-
Open the Game Folder page and click Open game folder.
-
Choose your client folder: the one with
rs.iopandmap.iop, or an unpacked client withconfig\,resource\andxml\folders. -
Allow the browser to read the folder. The page lists the packs it found and which pack password opened each one.
-
Open any tool from the sidebar. It starts on the game folder by itself.
The browser remembers the folder for the next visit and reopens it when it still has permission. What the tools read is not kept between visits. See Game Folder for pack passwords and the loading options.
Other sources
Section titled “Other sources”Every tool also works without a whole client:
- Your own packs: pick one or more
.iopfiles. Packs are recognised by their content, so other file names and extensions work too. - Single files: open the file a tool works on directly, for example a window
.xml, a.mshor.ani, a.dds, a quest.inior a.dattable.

Not in the web version
Section titled “Not in the web version”- Patch Manager, LS Monitor, uploads and launcher publishing. A browser cannot open FTP or raw game connections, so these stay in the desktop tools.
- Saving straight into a pack in the game folder. Edits come back as downloads for now.
- Importers that run external programs (for example sound conversion).
