What Counts
You do not have to be a C++ programmer to contribute. These all count once they are merged or accepted:
| Type | Examples |
|---|---|
| New features | New game systems, modes, windows, events, server features, with the configs and DB changes they need |
| Code | Bug fixes, ports of content between versions, performance work, cleanup that makes the code easier to build |
| Tools | New tools and editors, converters, launchers, admin panels, setup scripts, improvements to the web tools |
| Content | New items, costumes, maps or heroes made from the game’s own formats, with the configs to run them |
| Documentation | Build guides, setup steps, explanations of systems and file formats |
| Translation | Game text, UI strings, guides |
| Testing | Testing a new build and writing a clear report of what works and what breaks |
| Bug reports | A report with steps to reproduce, logs or screenshots, and the version used, that turns out to be valid |
What does not count
Section titled “What does not count”- Reposting existing work as your own
- Pull requests that only change formatting or whitespace
- Reports without enough detail to reproduce
